Soran University takes its name from the Soran region in Kurdistan. This region is known for its natural beauty, richness in resources and rich cultural heritage. Beside its contemporary political and economic significance, Soran holds a special place in Kurdish history as its mountain peaks, including Handren, Halgord and Zozik, have been the site of Peshmerga resistance to the Ba’athist regime.

Dr. Muslih Mustafa & Dr. Howri Mensurbeg visited College of Law. The visit was on the second day of examination of the colleges and institutes. The focus of this visit was to observe and monitor how the exams are being held, and to get some feedback from our students. This news is reported by Towards the Future, a Soran University’s weekly newspaper.
